Common questions
BDF Architectural supplies and installs premium aluminium glazing: bifold doors, sliding doors, windows, roof lanterns and skylights, entrance doors and curtain walling. We work on both residential projects (extensions, renovations, self-builds) and commercial schemes.
We install across London, Surrey, Berkshire, Essex, Kent and Greater Manchester, and supply our aluminium products UK-wide. Our base is in West Drayton, on the western edge of London.
Both. You can buy our aluminium doors and windows supply-only if you have your own installer, or choose full supply and fit, which includes a site survey, professional installation and our guarantee.
We work with leading European aluminium systems including Schüco, Cortizo and Aluprof. The right system depends on your budget, the sightlines you want and the performance the project needs.
As a guide, aluminium bifold doors cost from around £2,400 for a 2-panel set up to £9,600 for a large 7-panel set, supplied and fitted including VAT. Most 3–4 panel residential bifolds fall between £3,000 and £6,000. See our bifold doors cost guide for a full breakdown by panel count.
For most projects, yes. Aluminium is stronger, so it allows slimmer frames, larger glass panes and lower thresholds, and it typically lasts longer with a longer guarantee. uPVC can be a cheaper option for smaller openings or tighter budgets.
