Frequently asked

Sliding Doors — your questions answered

How much of the opening does a sliding door open up?

A sliding door glides one pane behind another, so a typical two-pane set opens roughly half the width — but you keep large, uninterrupted panes of glass when closed for the clearest view.

How slim are the frames on your sliding doors?

Slimline systems such as the Schüco ASS range and Cortizo Cor Vision have very narrow sightlines (down to around 20–35mm on the slimmest systems), maximising glass and giving a minimal, modern look.

Should I choose sliding doors or bifold doors?

Choose sliding doors for the largest, clearest panes of glass and a minimal frame; choose bifolds to fold the whole opening away. For similar sizes the cost is comparable.
