Questions architects ask us
Which systems can you specify?
Schüco, Cortizo and Aluprof aluminium, and Jansen steel. That covers bifold, sliding and lift-and-slide doors, casement and tilt and turn windows, entrance doors, curtain walling, fire rated doors, screens and façades, and blast resistant glazing. Because we fabricate on all four, we can recommend the system that fits the design and the budget rather than the one we happen to stock.
Can you help at design stage, before a contractor is appointed?
Yes. Send drawings, schedules and the performance you need and we will review the system choice, interfaces, buildability and likely sightlines early, when changing them is cheap. It is far easier to design around a system than to fit one into a design that assumed something else.
Can we see the systems before specifying them?
Our West Drayton showroom has working doors and windows installed, so you and your client can operate them and compare frame depths and sightlines in person, and our production facility is in West Drayton too.
Do you work on private houses as well as commercial buildings?
Yes. We fit bifold and sliding doors, glazed extensions, roof lanterns and entrance doors on private houses as well as commercial buildings, and the same factory and installation teams handle both.
How is performance confirmed?
Thermal, acoustic, security and fire performance depend on the exact configuration, sizes, glass and hardware. We confirm project-specific compliance at technical review against your specification, using the manufacturer’s tested data, rather than quoting a headline figure that may not apply to your openings.
