Schüco ASS 70 FD Bifold Doors
About Schüco ASS 70 FD Bifold Doors
With the thermally insulated Schüco ASS 70 FD folding door, a complete glass wall can be opened almost fully. The door leaves fold with minimal force, inward or outward, and slide to the right, the left or both. They roll almost silently on roller carriers and are guided at the top and bottom, so the stack stays secure and quiet in use. Folded, the leaves take up a small space at the side of the opening, giving a clear connection between inside and out. The system has rounded profile corners, face widths from 60mm and mitre-cut frames, and is tested to PAS 24. We make it to measure and install across London and the South East.
The ASS 70 FD suits openings where the stack needs to go to either side, or split between both, and it can also be used as balcony glazing. Vents can be up to 3 m², or up to 3.0m high at 1.2m wide, and U-values go as low as 1.3 W/(m²K), within the 1.4 W/m²K that Approved Document L sets for replacement doors in existing homes in England. For flush frames and a threshold down to 4mm, compare the Schüco AS FD 75/90.HI; for a corner with no post, Schüco cornerless bifold doors. We supply and fit the ASS 70 FD as a Schüco Residential Partner, or supply it only to installers and builders.
