About Schüco Cornerless Bifold Doors
Schüco cornerless bifold doors meet at the corner of a building with no fixed post, so when both runs are folded away the corner opens completely. They suit large openings, corner extensions and garden rooms, and commercial frontages such as hotels and restaurants where a whole corner opens onto a terrace. The leaves run quietly on their tracks and stack neatly together when opened. The systems are tested to PAS 24, with burglar-resistant profiles and fittings, and come in non-insulated, highly insulated and maximum-insulation versions to suit the building. We make each set to measure and install across London and the South East.
With no post at the corner, the structure above has to span the opening on its own, so a cornerless set is designed with your architect or structural engineer before the doors are ordered, ideally while the extension is still on paper. Maximum leaf weights range from 100kg to 500kg depending on the system, with glass from 24mm to 60mm thick and one, two or three tracks. For a straight opening on one wall, the Schüco AS FD 75/90.HI or ASS 70 FD is the simpler choice. We supply and fit Schüco cornerless doors as a Schüco Residential Partner, or supply them only to the trade.
