About Schüco Aluminium Front Doors
Schüco aluminium front doors combine a striking entrance with strong thermal insulation and security. The doors are tested to PAS 24, with burglar resistance up to RC 3, anti-bump cylinders and multi-point locking, and they keep out wind, driving rain and draughts. Flush designs with concealed fittings give a clean, contemporary face, and triple-glazed infills are available where the door includes glass. They are powder coated in virtually any RAL colour, so the door can match or contrast with the windows.
Schüco (often typed Schueco) is the German aluminium systems company behind the Schüco windows, sliding doors and bifold doors on our site, so a Schüco front door can be matched in colour and style to the rest of the house. As a Schüco Residential Partner, we make each door to measure and install across London and the South East, or supply it only if you have your own installer.
What to check before you order. On a new home, the front door has to meet the Part Q security requirement, which is usually shown by testing to PAS 24, as these doors are. On an existing home in England, a replacement external door needs a U-value of 1.4 W/m²K or better under Approved Document L; the figure depends on the door design and any glass, so we confirm it with the quote. Glass in a door, and in a side panel close to it, must be safety glass. Working doors are on show at our West Drayton showroom, open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 17:00.
